Ted's Diner - Great food in a most unlikely place located just down
the road from Irish Mountain.
In 1988, Ted a young chef who trained in the best hotels wanted
his own restaurant but all he could afford was a converted farm
implement shed.
Since then Ted has built up a reputation for fantastic food, he
serves up local game, fresh fish, pasta and even makes his own Caesar
dressing. He has a good wine list and a selection of draft beers.
Ted's prime rib and Yorkshire pudding is renowned across Ontario
(and into Michigan)
Over the years thousands of Irish Mountain guests have enjoyed eating
at Ted's - the only complaints we have ever received are about sometimes
slow service - there's only Ted cooking back there - and about smoke
from the smoking section which is not a separate room. That's something
that will change this fall when the whole county goes non smoking.
Why not book a mid-week getaway at Irish Mountain and take in Wednesday
night's jam session at Ted's - local musicians play to the early
hours. It's great a party atmosphere and all are welcome.

Nov 15th, 2003 - This past Saturday two helicopters landed in a
farmers field located directly across from Ted's Diner. We have
assumed the occupants of the helicopters went for lunch! The above
picture was what we could see from the B&B with a Zoom Lens
Camera.
Leeky Canoe - A roadhouse style restaurant on Meaford's main street. Serves great bar food as well as a regular dinner menu. -Steaks, pasta ribs.
The canoe's bar is a great place to meet Meafordites and is a good place to get a late night snack when other eateries are closed. Half price wings after 9 p.m.
